You want to show the comments to the posts on the front page of your blog?

Not a good idea, as this will have serious performance drawbacks particular if you have a lot of comments.
There is a good reason why wordpress has disabled this feature by default.
Even if you ‘force’ the comments and comment form to appear, there are other limitations that are impossible to overcome, such as comment pagination.
Therefore, i removed the content that was here so far:

I’m not exactly sure how to do it that’s all, I’m using the Lysa theme and can’t find where to make those changes properly…

I find the index.php but that’ s about it. I don’t have any numbered lines either (ie: number 160). I am stumped like Larry above.

the line numbers are only to help if your editor supports them.
these issues depend on the theme that you use, and my example was particular for the Twenty Ten theme.
